This role can be based in Birmingham or London.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and Develop: Oversee the strategic workforce plan for Drivers and Train Managers, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse workforce data across hiring ease, time to hire, productivity, attrition rates, to inform business decisions and identify risks and contingency actions.
- Training and Compliance: Ensure compliance with short, medium, and long-term workforce training plans in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Manager, CEX Management Team, Driver Management Team, and Resources Manager.
- Insight and Analysis: Provide insights into workforce demographics to guide strategic decisions and define key levers for workforce performance and ensure improvement plans are in place.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with train planning and resources teams to align workforce planning with service requirements.
Who we're looking for:
- Workforce Planning Expertise: Proven experience in managing workforce plans, particularly in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and an understanding of railway operations and their unique workforce requirements.
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent logical skills with an ability to solve problems calmly and systematically. Full computer literacy, including experience with various operating systems.
- Reporting and Communication: Experience in analytical report writing and an ability to provide clear and detailed progress updates to stakeholders.
