The Resources team are an integral part of our success playing a key role in the safe and efficient operation of our services.

As a crucial member of our resources team, you will ensure our trains run smoothly and on time. This role is responsible for efficiently resourcing station staff, producing base and weekly rosters in line with company standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of West Coast train services through effective crewing and clear communication with frontline teams and leadership.

As a roster resource planner, you will:  

• Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with frontline staff and depot teams.

• Build strong working relationships with Customer Service, Planning, and Resource Operations teams.

• Drive continuous improvement in customer experience, performance, and cost efficiency across the business.

• Accurately log all West Coast service resourcing details in line with company policy.

• Collaborate effectively with managers, the diagramming team, and Crewe Training Centre staff.

• Advise on rostering best practices, manage base roster input, and ensure compliance with Terms and Conditions.

• Support the Resources team in strengthening regional relationships and enhancing the customer journey.
