Reporting to the Head of Station Development, we want someone who is excited by driving forward the transformational change of our stations, making them a vibrant and welcoming place for our customers and communities. Thrive in a commercial and customer focused environment and can deliver quality work that will make a real difference.  The Programme Manager is accountable for managing the day to day project delivery of the Stations Portfolio.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Programme Delivery: Manage governance, report to SIDG, oversee dependencies, and collaborate with Third Party and HS2 Programme Managers.
  • Line Management: Lead and direct internal and external Project Managers.
  • Financial and Stakeholder Management: Track project spend, manage stakeholder relationships, and escalate issues.
  • Safety and Communication: Ensure safety compliance, act as communication point, and address impacts to services and facilities.
  • Governance and Risk Management: Monitor timelines and budgets, manage risks, and support compliance and best practices.

Person Specification:

  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of CDM practices, JCT and NEC contracts, and understanding of RIBA/PACE plans of work.
  • Skills: Proficient in project management, collaborative leadership, strong communication, organisational skills, and flexibility in work hours/location.
  • Experience: Proven project management experience, knowledge of PMO processes, experience in project/property management, and working in a live railway environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and oral communication, good interpersonal and influencing skills, and ability to prioritise workload.
