Job description
Our Stations team at Lancaster are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader to join the Team for 12 months on a Fixed Term Contract.

We’re looking for a COMMITTED individual to work alongside the station Manager to support the smooth operation of the station by setting new standards for customer experience and operational excellence across our network to the communities we serve.
With over 500,000 customers traveling weekly, no two days are the same! You’ll play a vital role in ensuring a safe and effective workplace for both staff and customers. Expect shift work, some weekends, and close collaboration with your team and the station manager.
This is a highly exciting role with extra responsibility. This is your chance to deliver outstanding service.
As a Team Leader you will:
Ensure Safety and Efficiency: Monitor station platform procedures and conduct safety/security checks, inspections, and audits to maintain a secure environment.
Deliver Outstanding Customer Service: Coordinate all customer service activities, especially during disruptions, to meet company specifications and passenger charter requirements.
Support the Station Manager: Manage day-to-day human resource issues, contractors, and premises, ensuring all work is carried out to specified standards.
Train Despatch: Assist with the correct and safe method of train despatch, preventing avoidable delays.
We are looking for someone committed to high safety and customer service standards, with strong coordination and management skills, and the ability to work closely with others and support the team effectively.

Please note this is a safety critical position and you will need to pass a safety critical medical if successful with your application. Training will be provided.
