What you’ll be doing:
As a Payroll Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our colleagues are paid correctly and on time. You’ll be trusted to:
- Deliver accurate weekly payroll using CoreHR, ensuring timely updates and data integrity.
- Handle payroll queries and statutory payments (sickness, maternity, paternity, adoption) with professionalism.
- Process commissions, deductions, expenses, and third-party claims in line with policy and legislation.
- Support audits and collaborate with internal teams and external bodies like HMRC and DWP to ensure compliance.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and hands-on experience in payroll or financial processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage complex data accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll systems (CoreHR experience is a plus).
- Relevant qualifications, including GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above) and/or CPP certification.
- Railway knowledge would be advantageous
