Ready for an exciting opportunity to join the Avanti Team as a Train Manager based at Manchester?

Here at Avanti West Coast, we are raising the bar on providing excellent customer across our network to the communities we serve. No day on the railway is the same, with over 500,000 customers travelling on our network weekly, our Train Managers play a vital role in providing a world class customer experience whilst keeping our customers safe as they travel across the network at a whopping 125mph.
In this role you will work with the On Board team to manage the customer environment, you’ll be a forward-thinking individual with plenty of enthusiasm. You will be responsible for checking and selling tickets whilst keeping everyone safe onboard your train.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Maintain a safe environment for everyone on-board.
- Champion of Customer Service whilst always maintaining visibility throughout the train
- Be an ambassador of Avanti West Coast and always maintain professional image whilst on duty.
- Provide friendly journey information and a positive sales message to Customers throughout the train.
- Provide a train side welcome to customers, particularly paying attention to those with special needs, elderly customers, children, and customers with heavy luggage.

If successful, you will be placed in a Talent Bank for up to 24 months, and offered a role as and when they arise.
This is a safety critical position, you must reach the required standard for safety critical psychometric testing and once a job offer has been made to you, you will also need to be able to pass a safety critical medical which includes a drug and alcohol screening.
Please note, you must live within a 60 minute drive from the depot
**Salary for this role will be £54,491 per annum (based on a 35-hour week whilst training and 41-hour week once fully trained)**
