We are looking for a proactive and experienced  Senior Safety Assurance Manager  to lead and strengthen safety governance, assurance, and compliance activities across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving our Safety Management System while supporting major change and project activities across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the register of all change activities in line with Safe Management of Change procedures

• Liaise with project teams and responsible managers on delivery and change processes

• Drive Safety Management System maturity using the Office of Rail and Road RM3 Model

• Conduct assurance checks on key suppliers and contractors

• Manage the legal register and ensure legislative compliance across the business

• Lead safety assurance activities to ensure standards and procedures are effectively implemented

• Verify actions and recommendations from incident investigations

• Act as Subject Matter Expert on legislation and industry standards impacting safety systems

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of railway safety management systems

• Experience in safety assurance, validation, and compliance

• Understanding of CSM RA and risk assessment processes

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Ability to influence and challenge constructively

• Strong analytical and organisational skills
