Our Revenue Management team plays a crucial role in understanding our commercial trading performance. They ensure our services are customer and commercially focused, available for retail as early as possible, and provide the optimal mix of fares and allocations to drive revenue growth.

Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure each region meets and exceeds revenue targets by developing and managing revenue strategies and data analysis with a team of analysts.
- Develop a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and providing clear direction to analyse and communicate performance across the business.
- Lead the relationship between Revenue Management and Operations/Customer Experience to ensure data-driven, customer-first decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal and external data and systems suppliers to equip Revenue Analysts with the necessary tools, explore system development opportunities, and optimize the Revenue Management system.
- Maintain strong relationships with train planning, stations, and on-board leadership teams to support timetable amendments, business cases, and revenue actions, while also supporting initiatives to accelerate the return to travel post-Covid-19.
Person Specification:
- You will have excellent commercial knowledge within the transport sector and expert knowledge of the systems used to yield manage at Avanti West Coast. Your in-depth revenue management knowledge will include segmenting the market through different distribution channels and pricing structures.
- You will be highly analytical, numerate, and have great attention to detail. As an excellent communicator, you can present complex technical ideas to any audience, both orally and in writing. Your coaching and mentoring skills will be top-notch, and you will display confidence and resilience, demonstrating the energy to achieve results. You will be able to work to and meet revenue targets.
- You will have experience in a revenue management role with demonstrable outcomes and results. Practice using management, coaching, and/or mentoring skills would be desirable. A numerical-based degree or equivalent experience is required.
